Are you looking for a person centred counsellor with a warm and friendly approach?
I will be there to listen and help you to explore your feelings, past experiences and understand more about yourself. It sometimes helps having someone you can trust to talk to. Counselling can be the first steps in empowering yourself to overcome what has been troubling you, giving you the chance to increase your confidence, improve your relationships and discover your own self-acceptance.
As well as being a fully qualified counsellor, I am trained in Rewind Therapy, which can be beneficial for people with PTSD and phobias.
I offer a comfortable and confidential space based in Gillingham (Kent) or if you prefer we can talk by telephone or remotely online. I have experience in supporting people with a variety of difficulties such as abuse, bereavement, relationship problems, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, panic attacks, understanding sexuality, victims of crime and many more.
I have experience working in a solution focused approach with EAP companies and I'm currently learning BSL-L1.
Rewind Therapy
Rewind therapy can help people with PTSD and phobias. This technique uses visualisation which can help you to process and manage traumatic memories in a less intrusive way. It enables closure safely without having to talk about the memory. This can be helpful to ease symptoms such as nightmares, flashbacks and intrusive thoughts. Please note that rewind therapy is not suitable if you are due to give evidence in court for the same incident.
What happens now?
Once we have established contact, we can arrange a brief telephone consultation, free of charge. This will allow me to understand more about your needs and presenting issues, so we can figure out what sort of therapy would be most suitable. The consultation also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions and to help us identify if we are a good match before booking an assessment session.
Your assessment will be booked in your preferred method of meeting for counselling where we can complete the relevant documents to secure our counselling agreement and identify the issues you would like to address. This will last 50 minutes. Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment.
Once an assessment or counselling session has been booked please provide 24 hours notice for any changes or cancellations.
